Prime time game on the road against one of the league’s most popular teams Authentic Ryan Succop Jersey , the Titans found themselves in a huge hole early. A short touchdown pass to Amari Cooper a few plays later put Dallas up early. The Titans came back and fumbled again, this time on a botched handoff from Mariota to Dion Lewis. Once again, the Cowboys took over in Titans territory, but this time the defense bowed its neck and got a fantastic interception in the back of the endzone from Kevin Byard. Byard took the ball directly to the star at midfield of AT&T Stadium and posed, reminiscent of Terrell Owens. From that moment on, the Titans looked like a different team. Tennessee outscored Dallas 28-7 down the stretch, snapping their three game losing streak and showing some offensive firepower that has been missing over the first half of the year. It’s a huge win and puts the Titans right back in the playoff race in the AFC. Here are the winners and losers.WinnersMarcus MariotaMariota’s first game playing at what he termed “100%” was awfully impressive. He finished 21 of 29 for 240 yards and 2 touchdowns, adding another 32 yards and a touchdown on the ground. For the second straight game Mariota was ultra-effective on third downs, converting 11 of 14 attempts. Mariota’s most impressive throw of the night was a strike down the seam to Darius Jennings on 3rd and 10 that eventually led to the team’s second touchdown of the night. This is exactly the kind of throw that I’ve been wanting to see from Mariota this season. It’s aggressive, in to a tight window, and relies on his receiver to make a play for him. In short, it’s a trust throw. We’ve all seen him do this before so it’s not a matter of ability or accuracy, Mariota has this in him, it’s just a matter of mindset and it sure looked like a more aggressive Mariota tonight. Kevin ByardByard had the massive, momentum swinging interception early that was his biggest play of the game, but he showed up several other times throughout the night in run support as well. Byard is truly a do-it-all safety and he’s becoming the emotional leader of this defense as well. Some won’t like the move to go stand in the star — especially Cowboys fans — but I think the best defenses almost always carry themselves with that little bit of extra fire and that’s what this Titans defense is becoming. I truly believe his celebration helped inspire the surge from the team directly following it.Dion LewisThe most obvious adjustment from the bye week was that this is officially Dion Lewis’ backfield now. Lewis led the way with 19 carries to Derrick Henry’s 6. While he only managed 62 yards on the ground, he did a bunch of damage through the air, catching 4 passes for 60 yards and a touchdown. The Titans kept recently added fullback Jalston Fowler inactive for this game Youth Quinton Spain Jersey , but they did use tight end Luke Stocker as a lead blocker frequently throughout the game. I would imagine that will become Fowler’s role as he gets up to speed. It seems like Matt LaFleur likes Dion Lewis running behind a fullback similar to the way Lewis was used during his most productive stint in New England. My guess is that we see Lewis treated like a feature back moving forward with Henry coming in to give rest and pick up short yardage until they can use him as a closer in games that they’re leading late. For all of Henry’s talent, it’s hard to disagree with with this approach right now given the results we’ve seen this season. Jayon BrownI feel like you can pretty much pencil Brown in to the “winners” category every week. He seems to have at least one or two splash plays each game and tonight was no different. His strip sack of Dak Prescott early in the second half put the Titans in great field position. The effort on this play is pretty special. He’s setting a pick for Jurrell Casey to try and free up the Titans best pass rusher, ends up falling over a blocking back, but regains his feet and strips Prescott to force the turnover. Great play by a guy who has really turned into a good NFL player in his second year out of UCLA. Kenny VaccaroVaccaro made his return to the starting lineup after sitting out the last three games with a dislocated elbow suffered early in the Eagles game. He was constantly around the ball in Dallas, finishing second on the team with 6 tackles and helping the Titans run defense hold the Cowboys to their lowest rushing total of the season.Vaccaro has turned out to be a major bright spot for this team after signing late in the offseason when Johnathan Cyprien went down. Having him back with Byard on the back end of the Titans defense makes this team better.Taywan Taylor, Darius Jennings, Jonnu Smith & Cameron BatsonThis group had been pretty unpopular over the past two weeks as Titans fans pined for help at wide receiver and tight end at the trade deadline, but they all came up big on Monday night. Taylor had two big third down conversions on tough catches before leaving with what looked like an ankle or foot injury. We will have to track his injury this week leading up to the Patriots game. Jennings and Batson both got plenty of snaps, especially after Taylor left, and both had big moments. Jennings had the big 36-yard grab up the seam highlighted above and Batson converted both of his catches for third down conversions as well, including this WR screen.Smith picked up a pair of catches, one of which counted as his first touchdown of 2018 on a nice shovel pass from Mariota. Smith has looked like he’s settling down over the last couple weeks and he looked particularly good making this catch over the middle for a big gain.Harold Landry & Brian OrakpoAfter a slow start from the pass rush, the Titans got things cranked up in the second half, sacking Prescott 5 times down the stretch including one each from Orakpo and Landry. Orakpo’s was just a matter of chasing Prescott out of bounds, but it counts as his first sack of the year. It’s good to see him get one on the board even if it wasn’t terribly impressive.Landry’s sack came just a few plays later as the Cowboys chipped him to slow down his edge rush, but the rookie just fought through inside of Cowboys right tackle La’el Collins to get to Prescott. It’s just Landry’s second of the year, but it feels like he should have several more. Mike Vrabel, Dean Pees & Matt LaFleurThe coaching staff really deserves a ton of credit for this one. Vrabel had his team motivated and prepared coming off of the bye and it showed. LaFleur called the best game of his Titans career and seems to be getting a better feel for Mariota week by week. The screen game started to bear some fruit and that’s something that can be a game changer for this offense if they can start getting chunk plays with those low risk throws. He was particularly effective in the red zone, going 4 for 5 on the night with touchdowns. My only gripe is that they still have yet to score from outside the red zone this year Kevin Byard Jersey , but we did see more explosive plays from the offense in general. Also, can I get a slow clap for not one but two QB sneaks during the game? The Titans learned from their short yardage mistakes in London and kept the ball on the ground for their 3rd and 4th and 1 tries with great success.
If nothing else, this coaching staff has proven that they’re willing to adapt to what’s working and move away from what’s not working. It sounds simple, but watching Mike Mularkey try to smash that exotic square peg in to the proverbial round hole for two years, it’s not something I’ll take for granted from this group.Pees’ defense deserves a massive amount of credit. They forced two turnovers on the night. One prevented a Cowboys score and the other led to a Titans touchdown. By holding the Cowboys to just 14 points, they moved in to first in the NFL in scoring defense. They’ll face their toughest test of the season next week, but the Titans defense hasn’t allowed more than 21 points in regulation since Week 1. LosersMalcolm ButlerThat being said, there is a clear loser on the defensive side of the ball and it’s Malcolm Butler. He got beat on the first touchdown by Amari Cooper who ran a very nice whip route to get free on the goalline. That’s understandable.Cooper is a good route runner and if a receiver has time to run a double move at the goalline, it’s usually going to end poorly for the defense. Less understandable, was the touchdown Butler allowed before the half.Allen Hurns roasted Butler here and it’s emblematic of his season as a whole — gambling to make a big play, but gets burned for it. At this point it’s far too predictable. Offenses are coming at Butler constantly and winning too often. I had hoped his excellent performance in London was going to be a sign of things to come, but it appears it was a mirage. Butler’s struggles continue to be one of the few blemishes on an otherwise spectacular defense.Jack ConklinConklin had been playing at a pretty high level heading in to this game, but he was no match for the excellent DeMarcus Lawrence (few are), getting beat a couple times including this disastrous rep that led to a turnover.Conklin would leave in the first half with what was reported to be a concussion which makes his availability on a short week very unlikely. However, the silver lining is that Dennis Kelly continues to be a solid backup tackle and the offense really kept right on clicking after Conklin’s exit. Dorial Green-Beckham for Dennis Kelly continues to be one of the most under the radar robberies of recent NFL trades.Ryan SuccopSuccop has mostly been an extremely reliable kicker during his time here, but he missed a 28-yard chip shot in this game. It was the second shortest miss of his 9-plus year NFL career and the shortest during his stint in Tennessee. It could have been a very painful miss if things had worked out differently too. The Titans were up 21-14, trying to go up two scores in the fourth quarter when his attempt clanged off the upright giving Dallas new life. The three rookie receivers of the Green Bay Packers had a mixed debut.J'Mon Moore, Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Equanimeous St. Brown had their moments, but also showed room for improvement in the Green Bay Packers' 31-17 victory over the Tennessee Titans on Thursday night.Valdes-Scantling , a fifth-round pick from South Florida, had the best game of the three, catching five passes for 101 yards, including a 15-yard touchdown from No. 4 quarterback Tim Boyle.Brown, a sixth-round pick from Notre Dame, had four catches for 61 yards, including a slick 28-yard catch-and-run to help set up Valdes-Scantling's touchdown.Moore, a fourth-round pick from Missouri, had the toughest game of the three, catching three passes for 27 yards and dropping what would have likely been a long touchdown pass. Valdes-Scantling also dropped a pass."I thought they did a really good job getting off the line of scrimmage," coach Mike McCarthy said Friday."I thought their releases and attacking leverage, the young guys, frankly, did better than some of the veterans (after watching) the video. But what do we do at the end of the route? Those are things that you just need live reps. Getting out of the cut, getting to the right breaking point, catching the ball."As has been the case throughout camp, the young receiver who stole the show was Jake Kumerow. He isn't a rookie. He's in his fourth training camp after two years on the Cincinnati Bengals' practice squad and after spending time on the Packers' practice squad at the end of last season.Kumerow, who has drawn praise from star quarterback Aaron Rodgers throughout camp, put an exclamation point on the game with a 52-yard touchdown catch from Boyle. But while the 26-year-old Kumerow came from Division III Wisconsin-Whitewater Authentic Derrick Henry Jersey , he's had the advantage of NFL camp experience and has avoided the inconsistency the three rookie draft picks have exhibited. That inconsistency drew Rodgers' ire late in the week after a particularly sloppy practice on Tuesday that McCarthy called "our worst practice of the year."After that practice, Rodgers, who ran the scout-team offense because he wasn't going to play against the Titans, listed players who were doing things the right way, but left the three rookie receivers off that list. While he never mentioned them by name, he left little doubt which players he was referring to for making repeated mistakes.Valdes-Scantling had a leaping 51-yard catch on a deep pass by DeShone Kizer in the third quarter. He also made a nice in-the-air adjustment to pull down Boyle's pass on the touchdown, which gave the Packers a 24-10 lead with under four minutes left."Definitely. That's our leader," Valdes-Scantling said when asked if he took Rodgers' criticism to heart. "You've got a Hall of Fame quarterback over there, and if he's telling you that you're not doing it right, you've got to change what you're doing. It's just that we've got to be pros all the time. Can't be pros for just three-fourths of practice, you've got to be it all the time. That was the only thing."Moore's biggest disappointment came in the second half, on a deep ball from Boyle on third-and-8 from the Green Bay 35-yard line. While Moore did a terrific job of getting open on the go-route, he dropped the ball at the Titans 29-yard line. Had he caught it, it likely would have been a 65-yard touchdown."I'm going to move forward for sure," Moore said. "But it's definitely going to put a fire up underneath me and definitely have me dig deeper."

Eagles fans, sign up HERE to join FanPulse. Will the Eagles win or lose in Week 1?This sounds about right. I already wrote about how I think this is going to be a close game. My confidence level in the Eagles’ defense is pretty high. They looked good in the preseason and outside of Timmy Jernigan they’re mostly healthy, though the Nigel Bradham suspension hurts. The offense is a different story. They’re more of a wild card given that Nick Foles is a high variance quarterback and the Eagles will be without two of their top four wide receivers. Still, I don’t want to pick against the Eagles since they’re so good at home. And really, what kind of person picks against the reigning Super Bowl champs on opening night? Party poopers, that’s who.How confident are you in the direction of the team? It’s very hard not to feel confident in the direction of a team that just won the Super Bowl. The Eagles haven’t given us reason to think they can’t sustain success over the long-term. What is the worst NFL rule? The helmet rule penalties seemed to die down in the last two weeks of the preseason, which was good to see. I’m all for making the game safer, but some of the penalties that were being called were just silly. Even the players had no idea what they were supposed to do differently.Eagles vs. Vikings Game Preview: 5 questions and answers with the enemy The Philadelphia Eagles and Minnesota Vikings are set to play each other this Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field. In order to preview this big Week 5 game, I reached out to our associates over at Daily Norseman. The candid Christopher Gates (@Gates_DN) took the time to answer my questions about the upcoming tilt. Let’s take a look at his answers.1 - The Vikings are 1-2-1 after big expectations going into the season. What’s contributed to the slow start? The biggest contributor to the slow start is that the team has apparently forgotten how to play defense. After being #1 in the NFL in both points and yardage allowed in 2017, they’re giving up 27.5 points a game through the first four games of 2018. The players on the defense, for the most part, haven’t changed, with the exception of adding Sheldon Richardson to the starting lineup (which you would think would be a plus). There seems to be a lot of miscommunication on the defensive side this year for whatever reason Youth Destiny Vaeao Jersey , which is strange. This is the fifth season that Mike Zimmer has been the head coach of the team, and just about every player on that side of the ball has been in his defensive scheme since he’s been here. We’ve seen a lot of Minnesota defenders playing at a high level over the course of the past few seasons, and now suddenly the entire defense has gone to crap. Zimmer says that he might be “overcoaching” his defense a bit, but whatever the issue is, they need to get things turned around fast to avoid having a lost season.2 - What is the Vikings’ biggest strength? Where do they have the biggest edge in this game? Thus far, the biggest strength the Vikings have shown has been their ability to throw the football. Despite the fact that Kirk Cousins seems to be under pressure on nearly every snap, he’s still been incredibly accurate and is on pace to set single-season team records in both yardage and touchdowns. The offensive line is still every bit the disaster that it was in 2017, but despite that Cousins has been performing to a level that even the most optimistic of fans probably didn’t expect.
Having what might be the best wide receiver duo in the NFL certainly helps, and Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs have been everything Cousins could have hoped for. Thielen has gone over 100 yards in every game this year and is averaging ten catches a game, and Diggs has been earning the big contract he got this offseason as well. Even someone named Aldrick Robinson is getting into the act, as he had two touchdowns on Thursday night. People expected the passing game to be upgraded with the addition of Cousins, but this probably exceeds just about everyone’s expectations. Given that the Eagles’ secondary has had some pretty significant issues over the first few weeks of the year, that seems like an area where the Vikings should be able to take advantage.3 - What is the Vikings’ biggest weakness? What concerns you the most about the Eagles? As good as the pass offense has been, the run offense has been awful. The return of Dalvin Cook was expected to bring a spark to the run game Womens Corey Clement Jersey , but he’s missed a game and a half with a hamstring issue, and he hasn’t been doing much even when he’s been in there. As of now, the Vikings have the worst rushing offense in the NFL, and are the only team in the league without a rushing touchdown through the first four games. The Eagles have the best run defense in the NFL, so the Vikings likely weren’t going to get much on the ground this week anyway, but the run offense has been disappointing in any case.As far as what’s the most concerning about the Eagles, it’s obviously their defensive front. As I mentioned in the earlier answer, the Vikings’ offensive line continues to be awful, and that’s a bad place to be against the Eagles’ front four. Despite all of the pressure, Cousins has delivered as expected, but you have to wonder just how long he can continue to keep that up if he has to continue worrying about his health on pretty much every snap. If the Vikings can get him a little bit of time, there should be things that he can take advantage of, but we’ll have to see if it happens.4 - To what extent would a Vikings win this week make 38-7 and the Eagles winning the Super Bowl in Minnesota hurt less? (Sorry, but I had to.)I know that I can’t speak for the entire fan base Womens Corey Graham Jersey , but for me, personally. . .it won’t. The Vikings could go out on Sunday and win this game 70-0, and it still wouldn’t do anything on that front. The Vikings had their opportunity, and they blew it. It was set up as perfectly as they could have possibly asked for, and they came up short. Honestly, I don’t think there’s a regular season contest that is going to change my attitude about that. I’ll be happy if they win, but it’s not going to erase anything about last year.5 - Who wins this game and why? Score prediction? And what are your expectations for the rest of this Vikings season?I think this is going to be a pretty good football game, because both of these teams have shown some weaknesses that the other team can take advantage of. However, until the Vikings show that they can stop anybody on defense. . .something that they certainly haven’t shown in three of their first four games. . .it’s very difficult for me to take them in this spot. I still think this team is going to get their season turned around, but I don’t think it starts this week.Eagles 31, Vikings 27

Noticiario / BRB Group Think: Is Clowney Comin’ Or Going?
« en: Hoy a las 03:16:21 am »
Aaron Donald just got a contract so big that he became the highest paid defensive player in the 98 year history of the National Football League. The six-year , $135 million dollar contract guarantees Donald $87 million in his bank account no matter what. But that was Thursday. The next day, Khalil Mack got paid so much that Donald’s reign as the highest paid defensive player in the 98 year history of the National Football League ended. After everyone’s jaws came back up from the floor when we heard the Oakland Raiders traded Mack to Chicago, Da Bears turned around and gave Mack $141 million, with $90 million of that guaranteed. Now, all eyes are turning to the next pass rushing freak of nature due to get paid: Jadeveon Clowney. Since we’re just like all the other NFL fans out there who love to talk Xs and Os while playing armchair quarterback , coach, general manager, and defensive lineman, the news of Mack’s trade and subsequent windfall fired up the chatter at 1000 Battle Red Boulevard. Since we love to have you chime in one the conversation, we wanted to share our thoughts here and then invite you to add yours in the comments section. Here’s the question: Here are our answers:(Not Philip) Rivers McCown:(Mad that Mack isn’t a Titan) Matt Weston:(Just wants everyone healthy) Jeremy Brener:(Just pay Deshaun Watsoin now) Diehard Chris:(Unashamed to admit he loves Clowney and it biases his opinion) Mike Bullock:Captain Ron (not “Obvious”):There you have it. We gave you ours. Now let’s hear yours. Lamar Miller has his second consecutive 100-yard game. That’s the first time he’s done that since Oct. 25 , 2015, when he had 14 carries for 175 yards and a touchdown against the Texans in his final season with the Dolphins after running for 113 the previous week.
Miller, who had 22 carries for 100 yards Sunday against Jacksonville, has 12 carries for 124 yards and a touchdown. His 58-yard run on the second play from scrimmage in the second half set up a Texans’ touchdown.Miller was pushed out at the 9-yard line. The Texans had a second-down touchdown from Deshuan Watson to running back Tyler Ervin negated by an ineligible lineman downfield on Greg Mancz. Watson completed passes of 4 and 8 yards to get the Texans to the 2-yard line, where Authentic Lamar Miller Jersey , on fourth down, Watson scrambled until he found Jordan Thomas in the end zone.It was Thomas’ second touchdown of the game, giving Houston a 21-10 lead.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are coming off their mini bye week Cheap Antonio Brown Jersey , and are now preparing for the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 11. It is now time for the Steelers to return the favor, and as Mike Tomlin addressed the media during his weekly Tuesday press conference, he also updated the team’s injuries. No injury was more concerning than the concussion James Conner suffered during the team’s Week 10 win over the Carolina Panthers.Mike Tomlin stated Conner is still in the concussion protocol, but that isn’t necessarily negative. Tomlin’s direct quote:Anyone who knows about a standard concussion protocol, it looks something like this:Step 1: No more symptoms (headaches Cheap Le'Veon Bell Jersey , nausea, blurry vision, etc.)Step 2: Consecutive days without symptomsStep 3: Light work loadStep 4: If no symptoms, increase work loadStep 6: If no symptoms, resume regular practiceStep 7: If no symptoms, cleared to return to playNow, I am no suggesting this is the exact NFL Concussion Protocol , but I wouldn’t be stunned if it looked very similar. So, to sum up, Conner will have to practice and not have any reoccurring symptoms before he is cleared to return to play. If headaches, or any other symptom, pop up, he moves back to earlier steps in the protocol.Conner will be on the practice field Wednesday, the team’s first workout of the week Cheap Chukwuma Okorafor Jersey , and Mike Tomlin mentioned a few other players who will be working their way back as well.Stephon Tuitt (elbow) and Marcus Gilbert (knee) are both players to keep an eye on this week, considering it is Tomlin’s policy to allow practice participation to dictate an individual's availability for the upcoming game.Stay tuned to BTSC for the latest news and notes surrounding the upcoming matchup between the Jaguars and Steelers, and don’t forget the game will be a 1 p.m. ET kickoff after being flexed out of the Sunday Night Football time slot.

As a linebacker over 14 seasons , he could get rid of them with a crunching tackle. He won't have that luxury Sunday in Miami making his NFL regular season head coaching debut with the Tennessee Titans."I don't think I'll need any hits from the team," Vrabel said Thursday. "We all just stay composed and do our jobs. That's the most important thing."Not much is expected from the Titans this season with the coaching change despite Tennessee winning its first playoff game in 14 years with back-to-back 9-7 seasons . Vrabel has three Super Bowl rings as a linebacker with New England , and the coach who frequently picks up a blocking pad and works with the Titans in practices has made it very clear what he wants.Three-time Pro Bowl tight end Delanie Walker said Vrabel doesn't care what people say outside of the locker room or about Tennessee's winless preseason. Vrabel's focus has been preparing the Titans for the regular season, and Walker said the coach has been tough on them."He's the type of guy he challenges you every day with questions asking you, 'What's the defensive players' names? What's their numbers?' And I think that's just to see how we've been preparing," Walker said. "I'm excited to see how he is when we get down there in Miami and get the game started."Defensive lineman Jurrell Casey, another defensive lineman, thinks Vrabel's attitude of pushing everyone will help the Titans achieve more. Casey sees Vrabel creating a mindset that everyone has to bring more. Even on the practice field, the Titans are expected to jog between drills with Vrabel usually leading the way."That's what I love about him Tennessee Titans T-Shirt ," Casey said. "He's expecting a lot from everybody. The stars, he's expecting more, and the young guy he's expecting you to rise up and become stars."The Titans currently have a five-game winning streak in their first road game of the season, which started in 2013 with Mike Munchak.Ken Whisenhunt and Mike Mularkey kept that streak alive, wins that didn't deliver nearly enough to keep either man around very long. Now it's Vrabel's turn with the Titans gambling that the man long pegged as the next surefire success as an NFL head coach succeeds in Tennessee. Defensive coordinator Dean Pees, who came out of a short retirement to come to Tennessee, says Vrabel has been a professional as a player, assistant and coordinator.
He expects nothing less now Vrabel is a head coach.Nerves are part of the job even for experienced coaches like himself, according to Pees who's going into his 46th NFL season."If you haven't got a little something churning in your stomach Tennessee Titans Hats , I think it's probably something wrong with you," Pees said. "You're not very competitive. So it's going to be exciting for him, and I'm excited to watch him too."A handful of Titans made clear that whatever happens on the field falls on their shoulders.Walker said Vrabel and the assistants he brought in have been great, but they can only put the Titans in position to execute. Veteran linebacker Wesley Woodyard said the players can help minimize any growing pains by winning on game day for a man who played for a great coach in New England's Bill Belichick."It seems like he's a little bit more experienced than a first-time head coach," Woodyard said.NOTES: Rookie LB Harold Landry (ankle) did not practice Thursday after being limited Wednesday. S Kendrick Lewis (foot) missed a second straight practice. RT Jack Conklin (left knee) and LB Rashaan Evans (hamstring) were limited. Walker at teresamwalker Plenty of opponents have heard plenty of chatter from Jaguars cornerback Jalen Ramsey.Sunday, Titans left tackle Taylor Lewan sent a little back the other way. After the Titans escaped with a 9-6 win over the Jaguars, Lewan said he was unimpressed with Ramsey’s deeds or words. The two exchanged some pleasantries after Ramsey was called for being offsides on a field goal attempt in the third quarter.“They want to talk about how he’s a big trash-talker. I mean, come on,” Lewan said Tennessee Titans Hoodie , via Paul Kuharsky of Paul “He’s jumping offsides, and he’s acting like it’s no big deal, but he’s being a liability. You’re a liability when that happens. So he and I got into it a little bit.“Towards the end of the game my hands aren’t on my hips. He’s crouching down, breathing hard, and I just looked at him and said, ‘I don’t get tired.’ He’s a corner. I’m not worried about him talking to me. What are you going to do?”Lewan got the last word with the win, which was their third straight and fifth in the last six meetings against the Jaguars.

Noticiario / Let’s get to the Philadelphia Eagles links

Eagles fans arrive Philadelphia Eagles T-Shirt , and London may never be the same - NBCSPThe Eagles don’t arrive in town until Friday morning, but thousands — and I mean thousands — of Eagles fans were already in town Thursday. And making their presence known. “When we got to customs, there were hundreds of Eagles fans and one Jaguars fan,” Linda Carlin of Cape May said Thursday as she watched the Buckingham Palace guards marching around. “I actually feel bad for their fans. They don’t have any idea what they’re up against.” Carlin and her daughter Rosemary of Jenkintown arrived in London Thursday morning. They’re headed to the Eagles-Jaguars game at Wembley Stadium on Sunday and then staying in town for more sightseeing until next weekend.Birds hold big pep rally for Philadelphia Eagles fans in London - 6ABCWith the Eagles just hours away from landing in London for this Sunday’s game with the Jaguars, the team hosted a pep rally for fans who have already made the journey. ”We’re running on hardly any sleep, but we are feeding off the energy,” one fan said.Eagles vs. Jaguars Game Preview: Five questions and answers with the enemy - BGNThe Philadelphia Eagles (3-4) and Jacksonville Jaguars (3-4) are set to play on Sunday at Wembley Stadium in London. In order to preview this Week 8 matchup, I reached out to our enemies over at Big Cat Country. The radiant Ryan O’Bleness took the time to answer my questions about the upcoming game. Let’s take a look at the answers.Eagles-Panthers Preview Extravaganza - BGN RadioJohn Stolnis and Brandon Lee Gowton go to town on this loaded Eagles-Jaguars preview show! Should the Eagles be buyers or sellers in the trade market? How bad is it if the Eagles can’t get it done against Blake Bortles and what does it even mean if they do? Plus NFC East picks and much much more!Eagles’ ‘old guy’ strategy has not had good results in 2018 - PhillyVoiceRoseman’s “old guy” strategy certainly makes sense, as he was able to acquire contributing role players at a low cost. It paid off big-time for the Eagles in their run to the Super Bowl. In 2018, however, the five old guys Roseman acquired have missed a combined 16 games, which is a risk with older players, and have largely been ineffective when they have been on the field, Bennett aside.Down Years - Iggles BlitzAgholor really emerged as a playmaker last year. This year he’s been anything but that. Agholor averages 8.5 yards per catch, and that’s boosted by a 32-yard catch and a 58-yard catch. Yikes. Agholor lives at the line of scrimmage this year Philadelphia Eagles Hats , and that’s not good. This would make more sense if Jimmy Bama’s hero Sam Bradford was throwing him the ball, but Wentz is the guy slinging the rock. Wentz is an aggressive QB who likes to go vertical. Agholor isn’t getting the best chances, but even when he does, he can’t take advantage of them. Robinson is a Saint (and hurt). Sidney Jones took his place and has played pretty well, but he’s not made any plays. Robinson covered well, picked off passes when the ball came his way and even had a sack. Jones has one pass deflection. That’s it.Going for it: Aggressive-minded NFL follows in wake of Eagles’ success - ESPNEagles defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz had the same reaction as many across the country when Doug Pederson put two fingers in the air instead of one late against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 5, his team trailing by eight. ”I was a bit slack-jawed, like, ‘What are we doing?’” Schwartz said. “I wasn’t privy to those discussions and things like that with the analytics [people], and being sort of old-school it’s like, ‘What? No, no, kick the [extra point].’ And then after the game, somebody was explaining to me the statistics behind it, and it’s like Philadelphia Eagles Hoodie , ‘Oh, I get it.’”Jay Ajayi: ‘I’m Going To Come Back Stronger And Better’ - PE.comWhile the Eagles went through their Wednesday practice at the NovaCare Complex, one step closer to Sunday’s crucial game against Jacksonville (9:30 a.m., 6abc in Philadelphia, NFL Network), running back Jay Ajayi was here meeting the United Kingdom media as part of an exhibition at the Museum of London wearing a thigh-to-ankle brace on his left knee, his season finished. Injured blocking in pass protection on October 7, Ajayi will be part of the team’s cheering section on Sunday at Wembley Stadium, not carrying 20 times and slashing through the defense, a hometown hero playing in front of his huge legion of fans. It’s not exactly as he planned it when the schedule came was released in the spring.Every city in America needs a Malcolm Jenkins - Philly.comMalcolm and his colleagues in the Players Coalition are outspoken advocates for criminal justice reform and the need to address the racial biases that plague our system. The Four Must-See NFL Matchups for Week 8 - The RingerBlake Bortles Against the Eagles Defense: Bortles is just part of a multitude of problems facing the Jaguars. Last weekend, their defensive line managed to sack Texans QB Deshaun Watson, who has taken so many hits he couldn’t fly to the game, only once. Star cornerback Jalen Ramsey is graded by Pro Football Focus no. 53 at his position. Former no. 4 overall pick Leonard Fournette, whose career rushing average is below 4 yards per carry, has yet to return from a hamstring injury. A.J. Bouye’s injury means they’ll be starting three undrafted rookies in the secondary alongside Ramsey.Week 8 NFL odds: Best plays and bet your mortgage on the Philadelphia Eagles - Big Cat CountryIf there were a prop bet for Blake Bortles throwing a pick-six I’d take that bet too. The Jaguars are a mess.
Bet on the Eagles to win by at least four points.Week 8 Fantasy football stats: The league’s funnel defenses - PFFEverything was going according to plan on Sunday for the defending Super Bowl champions. On the verge of a two-game winning streak Youth Customized Philadelphia Eagles Jerseys , they went up by 17 points at the end of the third quarter and were shutting out the Panthers. By the end of a 21-17 loss, the pass-funnel Eagles allowed Cam Newton to throw for 245 yards and a pair of touchdowns in the second half alone. No team faces a higher situation-neutral pass rate than Philadelphia (69%), and as long as they keep trotting out the likes of Jalen Mills – our 104th-graded coverage cornerback – few teams deserve it more. Their eighth-highest-graded run defense allows the second-fewest yards per game (85.7). The Eagles haven’t allowed many touchdown passes (10; eighth-fewest) due in large part to the overall strength of their defense. Only five teams allow fewer points per game. When it comes to perimeter pass coverage, however, their funnel reputation is well earned.Johnny Weir loves his Philadelphia Eagles and Carson Wentz - OutsportsJohnny Weir is best known for his over-the-top flamboyance on and off the ice. Yet there’s a big NFL fan under those sequins and fancy hats that is as hardcore as the most fanatic Boo Birds. While Weir spends most of his time on social media being fabulous, he also doesn’t shy away from cheering on “his” Philadelphia Eagles whenever possible.Brock Osweiler’s best play with the Dolphins continues to be deflected pass - SB NationBrock Osweiler has played relatively well since filling in for Ryan Tannehill. But Osweiler did not play well during the Thursday Night Football game against his former team, the Houston Texans. The Miami Dolphins did not play well, either. That’s a story for another time. We’re here to talk about Osweiler, and the fact that the Dolphins have finally found the secret to his success. Just deflect the football and have a bunch of random garbage happen and hope it works out. No, seriously. This just looks like a Madden glitch....Social Media Information:BGN Facebook Page: Click here to like our pageBGN Twitter: Follow @BleedingGreenBGN Manager: Brandon Lee Gowton: Follow @BrandonGowtonBGN Radio Twitter: Follow @BGN_Radio [UPDATE, 12:51 PM]: Johnson is reported to have an MCL sprain heading into the bye week. [UPDATE, 11:06 AM]: Good news for the Eagles, Jason Peters will return, but unfortunately, Lane Johnson will not.It was a sloppy first drive for the Eagles on Sunday in London , and two lineman went down with injuries within the first seven plays — Jason Kelce was sidelined briefly, and then two Lane Johnson went down during the Carson Wentz strip sack that gave the Jaguars the ball. Johnson was down for awhile after the play, as he’s been playing through a high ankle sprain that nearly kept him out of Thursday Night Football two weeks ago, but was eventually carted off the field with a knee injury. Halapoulivaati Vaitai is the acting swing tackle for the team and went in for Johnson following the injury. The Eagles don’t have a ton of depth at offensive line, and both rookies Jordan Mailata and Matt Pryor are inactive for this London game, despite making the trip. That lack of depth could be an issue, as Jason Peters went down at the beginning of the second quarter with a head injury, leaving the protection of Carson Wentz in the hands of Vaitai at left tackle, Isaac Seumalo in at right tackle, and Stefen Wisniewski, Jason Kelce and Brandon Brooks in between. Both Lane Johnson (knee) and Jason Peters (head) were questionable to return halfway through the second quarter. Not great.

The Baltimore Ravens and Chicago Bears reported to training camp earlier this week. They haven’t started practicing yet , but they are there. The Houston Texans will report next week and will begin practice. Of course, training camp won’t actually begin in Houston. As they did last year, the Texans will start training camp at The Greenbrier in West Sulphur Springs, West Virginia. The Texans will be in West Virginia from July 26th to August 7th; after that, they’ll travel to Kansas City to face the Chiefs for their preseason opener. The Texans’ first training camp session in Houston will be on August 11th, and they will practice at the Houston Methodist Training Center until training camp officially ends on August 16th. The entire training camp schedule is below:BRB will (probably) still be here next week, so you can follow Texans’ training camp and the preseason here until the regular season starts against the New England Patriots at Gillette Stadium on September 9th. Demaryius Thomas is playing for a team other than the Denver Broncos for the first time in his career after his trade to the Houston Texans. The receiver won't have long to miss Denver though, with the Texans visiting the Broncos on Sunday."It was strange to get traded first off, and then come here and get ready to play in the Mile High City that you've been playing for the last 8陆 years is very strange," Thomas said. The Texans traded for Thomas on Tuesday, adding the veteran to replace Will Fuller, who tore a knee ligament in Houston's win over the Dolphins last week. The 30-year-old Thomas was a first-round pick by the Broncos in 2010 and has piled up 9,055 yards receiving with 60 touchdowns since then."I like his size ... I think he can do a lot of different things," coach Bill O'Brien said. "I like his intelligence Ryan Griffin Jersey , his experience. I don't think there's any substitute for experience. Obviously, he's got good hands. There's a lot of things to like about Demaryius Thomas."Acquiring Thomas was a big move for a team which has reeled off five straight wins since opening the season 0-3 to move into first place in the AFC South. The Texans have star receiver DeAndre Hopkins, but didn't have any proven playmakers to pair with Hopkins after Fuller was lost for the season.Quarterback Deshaun Watson, who tied a career high with five touchdown passes against the Dolphins, is excited about the possibilities for this offense with two receivers as talented as Hopkins and Thomas. Watson doesn't think it will take long for Thomas to get acclimated in Houston and expects big things from him immediately."It's going to be great," Watson said. "Nothing really should stop the train. (Thomas) is a veteran guy that can do a lot of different things and he's played a lot football, so it's a great opportunity for all of us to get on the same page and continue to put a lot of yards in the air and put a lot of points on the board. We're going to bring him along and he's going to fit in ... well."Despite his years of experience, Thomas admitted to being a little nervous on his first day with the Texans on Wednesday. He said the transition was made easier by the warm welcome he received from his teammates, including Watson, who was the first to text him after the trade.
Thomas said he's admired Watson from afar for a while and is looking forward to playing with him."He gets the ball out, great throws, on time, on point," Thomas said. "He can also scramble Authentic Julien Davenport Jersey , too, and that's another exciting thing. That's some of the things you see from him that you can count on as a receiver, because if he scrambles outside of the pocket, he's looking downfield, he's not looking to run. So, that's big plays for guys like me, Hop (DeAndre Hopkins) and everybody else."Another change Thomas will have to get used to in Houston is wearing a different number since the No. 88 he's worn for his entire NFL career is taken by rookie tight end Jordan Akins. NFL rules mandate that a player isn't allowed to change numbers if he's played more than 30 percent of the team's snaps on his side of the ball in a season, which applies to Akins.Thomas didn't know the rule when he first learned of the trade and was prepared to negotiate with Akins for the number."I was ready to pay him and everything," he said. "I was going to give him whatever he wanted for it."Since that wasn't an option, Thomas settled on No. 87, but said that if he remains in Houston next season he'll try and snag his number back. With his new team and his new number, Thomas is ready for a new start in Houston. But first he'll have to revisit his past on Sunday and knows that it will be a difficult trip considering all the memories he made in his time in Denver."It'll be tough," he said. "But that's ball and I have to deal with it."

Noticiario / After their 33-18 win over the Cleveland Browns in Week 8
« en: Enero 07, 2019, 03:12:31 am »
The Pittsburgh Steelers have won three straight games Authentic Vince Williams Jersey , and have finally started to “stack wins”. Something I did last season and I’m going to start again is the Black-and-gold Links article. This is an article where I take stories from quality news sources across the Internet and add them here for your viewing pleasure. I won’t be posting the entire articles, but I’ll link each story and author so that you can read the full article. Today we talk about whether, after winning three games in a row, the Steelers have turned the corner and are now on their way to living up to the hype which surrounded them when the season began. This was before their dreadful month of September, followed by a resurgence, and undefeated, October.Let’s get to the news:Tim Benz: Resilient Steelers show they might be up to the hype after allBy: Tim Benz, Pittsburgh Tribune-ReviewDuring the Steelers’ season opener at Cleveland, a two-score lead in the second half dissolved into an ugly tie.It all started with one huge mistake. In the rematch at Heinz Field, the same potential existed. Except this time the Steelers took a mistake and shoved it right back at Cleveland en route to a 33-18 victory.“That’s what we want to do as a football team,” linebacker T.J. Watt said. “Make the corrections we need to make. Don’t make the same mistake twice.”Leading 21-7 in the fourth quarter of Week 1 Youth Bud Dupree Jersey , running back James Conner fumbled. That turnover was followed by a slew of strip sacks, blown coverages, missed tackles, botched blocks, bad routes and missed kicks. The Steelers came unglued.Only the Browns’ ineptitude prevented the Steelers from starting 0-1.On Sunday, the Steelers suffered another epic blunder after the Browns yielded a safety at the 8-minute, 7-second mark of the third quarter. Leading 16-6, the Steelers allowed the ensuing free kick to lie on the field until Cleveland recovered it. Returner Ryan Switzer became confused when Roosevelt Nix called for a fair catch but left him to field the ball. The Browns recovered. A few plays later, they scored a touchdown. That closed the gap to 16-12 after a missed extra point. That bad Steelers team in early September crumbled after hitting a pothole. The first-place Steelers in late October rolled right over it.“In a boxing match, even the best boxer gets hit a few times,” defensive end Stephon Tuitt said. “You never want to put your head down after they made a couple plays. You just have to keep going.”On the next drive, the Steelers returned to a run game that hadn’t been efficient in the first half. Conner had just 33 yards on 10 carries at halftime. When the Steelers got the ball back, he accounted for 60 yards on four carries, including a touchdown to make it 23-12.In the first matchup , Conner struggled after his mistake. The coaching staff eventually gave up on the run game, exposing Ben Roethlisberger to lousy weather and an effective Browns pass rush.On Sunday, the weather was almost as bad, but the results on the ground were remarkably better. Conner finished with 146 yards rushing. He added 66 yards on receptions. As opposed to the opener, the Steelers defense squashed any life the Browns had after they drew closer. The defense forced three straight punts. Two were the result of three-and-out series. After last week’s kerfuffle over who should be running the Browns offense, does anyone else besides Hue Jackson or Todd Haley want to try?Anyone? The Browns’ perceived return to respectability after a 2-2-1 start now appears to be short-lived. However, the Steelers potential return to AFC playoff contention may be picking up steam.“Nothing has really changed,” Conner said of the Steelers’ improvement in recent weeks. “We are just doing our jobs, trying to be a team on the rise.”James Conner takes over Heinz Field, dominates Browns againBy: Jeremy Fowler, ESPNThe spin move to get loose. The stiff-arm in the end zone. The “Con-ner! Con-ner!” chants from the Heinz Field crowd.James Conner is no longer a fill-in, but is a major catalyst for the Pittsburgh Steelers’ 2018 season. He can play. He has left little doubt.Conner’s monstrous second half helped seal the Steelers’ 33-18 win over the Cleveland Browns and strengthen their position in the AFC North. Over the span of two drives in the third and fourth quarters, Conner gashed the Browns for 95 total yards and a score. The Steelers were reeling after several mental mistakes before Conner spun his way to a 30-yard gain to start a third-quarter scoring drive.“I’m just running hard,” Conner said when asked if he’s getting stronger by the week after compiling 525 yards over a three-game stretch.Conner started the game with 36 yards on 12 carries but finished with an explosive 146 yards on 24 carries along with five receptions for 66 yards.
That gives Conner a startling 404 total yards in two games against the Browns. That will do.Steelers players kept pumping up Conner publicly over the last two months Terrell Edmunds Jersey , and it was not an empty proposition. They feel strongly about their running back, with or without Le’Veon Bell. He’s ready for AFC North football, and so is an offensive line that has been stellar the last three weeks.“He wants to be that guy,” guard Ramon Foster said of Conner. “He plays with a passion that’s out of this world.”Mike Tomlin made passionate address to Steelers after Pittsburgh shootingBy: Jeremy Fowler, ESPNSteelers coach Mike Tomlin addressed the Pittsburgh shooting with his team Saturday night in what players called a passionate moment.Tomlin told his team he lived close to the Tree of Life Synagogue, where a mass shooting left 11 people dead and several others injured earlier Saturday.”I’m a member of the Squirrel Hill community personally,” Tomlin said after the Steelers’ 33-18 win over the Cleveland Browns on Sunday. “Words cannot express how we feel as members of the community. We are prayerful.”Tomlin added he wouldn’t make the moment “about me or us” and is glad to serve the community in a small way with the game. Tomlin estimated he lives about 800 yards from the synagogue.Among the dead were David and Cecil Rosenthal. Their sister, Michele Rosenthal, used to work for the Steelers as a community relations manager.”It was tough. It was crazy tough, especially with Michele and the closeness we have with her,” quarterback Ben Roethlisberger said. “We’re thankful for the victory, but we also understand there are bigger things -- there’s life. I’m glad we could gift people three hours with a break.”The Steelers held a moment of silence inside Heinz Field before kickoff.”Way bigger than football,” guard Ramon Foster said.Several players issued supportive tweets over the weekend and were proud to take the field for their city.”Tragedy what happened to our city,” running back James Conner Authentic James Conner Jersey , a Pennsylvania native who played college football at Pitt, said after the game. “Today was much bigger than the game of football. Good we got the win to try and uplift spirits and vibes of our city. Our city took a hit today. Our hearts with all the victims and all the victims’ families. We still have them in mind.”Defensive end Cameron Heyward entered the stadium with a T-shirt featuring a heart around the word “Pittsburgh.” Many fans inside Heinz displayed a “Stronger than Hate” sign pairing the Steelers’ logo with the Star of David.Steelers Injury Report: 4 players sit out practice on Thursday with injuries The Pittsburgh Steelers saw four players held out of practice on Thursday with injuries, while another was given a veteran rest day. Vince Williams and Darrius Heyward-Bey missed their second day of training and were joined on the sidelines by Morgan Burnett, Marcus Gilbert and Ramon Foster, according to the team’s official injury report. Both Williams and Heyward-Bey look increasingly doubtful for Sunday, as does Burnett having been downgraded from limited on Wednesday to out on Thursday. Foster was simply the beneficiary of his now customary day off.Gilbert was something of a surprise inclusion with a knee injury and his status will be one to watch on Friday. The right tackle has already missed time with a hamstring injury this year and it should be expected that Matt Feiler would play in his place once again if he cannot play against the Atlanta Falcons. There was some positive news with the continued involvement of Mike Hilton as a full participant in training, and it is encouraging to note that Chris Boswell was able to practice fully despite leaving the field early the day before with a foot injury. When speaking to Teresa Varley of, Hilton sounded like a man who was preparing to play in Week 5, regardless of his elbow injury. The Falcons injury report for Thursday:

The news was mostly good for the Titans. Starting safety Kenny Vaccaro will make his return in his home state of Texas , coming back from a dislocated elbow suffered in Week 4 against the Eagles. Getting Vaccaro back is big for the Titans defense as Kendrick Lewis has struggled to replace him in the lineup over the past three games. The Titans will also get Quinton Spain and Josh Kline back this week. Spain missed the end of the Ravens game and the entire Chargers game with a shoulder injury while Kline left the Chargers game during the final drive with an ankle issue. The Titans have only had their starting offensive line intact for an entire game once this season. That just happened to be the best offensive performance of the season against the Eagles. The Titans will hope to see the big boys make it through this game unscathed. Corey Davis will be a full go as expected after landing on the injury report with a hamstring early in the week. This seems to be part of the team’s plan to manage his reps in an effort to keep him healthy for Will Compton has a chance to return to the lineup from a hamstring injury suffered at the end of the Eagles game. He’s listed as questionable. With Wesley Woodyard, Rashaan Evans, and Jayon Brown ahead of him at inside linebacker, Compton is more of a special teams contributor and depth player right now. The bad news from a Titans perspective is that Derrick Morgan is officially out for this game with a shoulder injury. Morgan’s impact has been limited this season, but he’s still a veteran pass rusher who has a history of being productive. Brian Orakpo, Harold Landry, Kamalei Correa, and Sharif Finch will all likely get more work in Morgan’s absence. The Cowboys will be without pass rushing defensive tackle David Irving and speedy gadget receiver Tavon Austin on Monday night as they have been ruled out. Irving is s particularly tough loss for Dallas as he’s easily the team’s best interior pass rusher. The Cowboys have two players that are listed as questionable. Edge rusher Randy Gregory and two time All-Pro guard Zack Martin are both dealing with knee injuries and could be ruled in or out closer to game time. Martin is the best guard in the NFL so him being out or limited would make a big difference in what the Cowboys can do up front. Starting tight end Geoff Swaim is listed as doubtful with a knee injury as well. He’s been decent in his first season as a starter, but this isn’t a position where the Cowboys excel. If Swaim can’t go Blake Jarwin and Rico Gathers would fill in. The Titans were one of three teams in the AFC South division to suffer an opening week loss. However, the loss in Miami was more excruciating due to the overall game length and the casualties accrued. Losing Delanie Walker late in the game was a shot to the heart. To lose a leader, an offense producing, tone-setting player like Walker for the season overshadowed everything else that transpired.Yes, Marcus Mariota was lost early with an injured arm and returned sooner than he should have. Yes Tennessee Titans T-Shirt , we can’t forget the visual of a lifeless Taylor Lewan on the field of Hard Rock Stadium. When the cornerstones of the team are all eliminated from the game - and one for the season - it is almost impossible to stomach. But - and it’s a HUGE but - despite the egregious penalties that went in favor of the Dolphins, despite being without our starting quarterback and left tackle for the remainder of the game and despite losing Walker for the year, the Titans aren’t out of the hunt yet. Although the game felt like it was lost by double-digits, the Dolphins narrowly won 27-20. Had Taywan Taylor held onto the ball, had Walker’s facemask not held a Dolphin defenders hand to negate a 60 touchdown run by Derrick Henry, had we took the points instead of going for it on fourth down inside the 10 yard line - the outcome would have been different. But, it happened how it happened. At the end of the day, there are specific plays we as fans would like to get back - but also a handful players/coaches would want back too.Elephant in the RoomThe home opener will likely lack some of the positive ambiance that was initially anticipated.
The dark cloud of Walker’s injury will still be lingering Sunday morning. For HC Mike Vrabel, his work started on the plane ride back to Nashville. He undoubtedly knows how much Walker meant both on the field and in the locker room. Vrabel will have to find a way to address team with a genuine understanding as opposed to a calloused “next guy up” approach. It will be difficult, but is achievable. Vrabel and OC Matt LaFleur must also have a lengthy discussion with Jonnu Smith - who will have a drastically larger role in the offense moving forward. Smith, who has Delanie-traits, needs to figure out how to maximize his production in Walker’s absence. The Titans could reach out to some former players that are looking for employment. Anthony Fasano would be my preference, but whether or not he is pursued is unknown.Once the team gets clarification on the severity of Mariota’s injury Tennessee Titans Hats , the coaching staff will waste no time tailoring the game plan to the players they’ll have available Sunday needs to happen quick.Division Opponents Houston also suffered a seven-point loss to an AFC East team Sunday. The Texans had 167 yards on the ground led by RB Lamar Miller’s 98. Deshaun Watson had 40 and Alfred Blue had 36. The Titans defense struggled in containing Kenyon Drake and Frank Gore in Miami. The Texans will attempt to exploit the Titans run defense by feeding their backs and encouraging Watson to rely on his wheels when the opportunities arise. The secondary had their hands full with Kenny Stills - who accounted for two touchdowns and over 100 yards. Despite recording two interceptions, the secondary must prepare for covering receivers longer due to an ineffective pass rush. Speaking of the pass rush - the defense couldn’t need Harold Landry more. Landry’s youth, speed and bend was something that could have made a difference in the “almosts” sacks that were. At times, Titans defenders were not even in the same area code as Ryan Tannehill. If Still can have a day like he did, DeAndre Hopkins will be a headache. He has wreaked havoc in games against Tennessee and his notorious push-offs can be expected. Nevertheless, the Titans have to find a way to eliminate Hopkins. Will Fuller - who has also developed into a thorn in the Titans side - did not play against New England and is dealing with a hamstring injury. We’ve been down this road before. Fuller missed the first three games of the 2017 season, then was ready to go against the Titans in week four. He finished the game with two touchdowns. A year prior, he returned a punt for a touchdown that also impacted the end result. If Fuller is a no go Sunday, that helps the Titans chances. If he is miraculously healed, it could be a long day. The Titans have to be ready to take the best Houston has to offer. If Tennessee takes the field without both starting tackles, Mariota and (the obvious) Walker, the team must depend on the offensive line to do just enough to allow Dion Lewis and Derrick Henry space.Lewis and Henry (on the 60 yard touchdown) both looked like they can help carry the offense no matter who is under center. They may not have a choice.
